Overview

Nestly (“we”, “us”) provides a family organizer app and optional web companion. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have. Nestly soft-launches without a paywall for core family features.

Information we collect

  • Account — email address and display name used to sign in (Firebase Authentication).
  • Nest content — household data you create (tasks, calendar events, shopping lists, expenses, bills, meals, care, school activities, emergency info, timeline posts, and document metadata).
  • Files — documents or images you upload to the family vault (Firebase Storage), when you choose to upload.
  • Device / notifications — a push notification token if you allow notifications, used for reminders such as bills or care.
  • Optional AI scan — if you use document scan, the photo or PDF you select may be processed by Google Gemini via Firebase AI Logic (Vertex AI) to draft an event, expense, bill, or task. You review before anything is saved.

How we use information

  • To provide and sync your nest across signed-in devices
  • To send reminders you enable
  • To improve reliability and security of the service
  • We do not sell your personal data or use nest content for third-party advertising

Storage & processors

Account and nest data are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage) under our Nestly Firebase project. Optional AI scan uses Google’s Gemini models through Firebase AI Logic.

Mobile apps are offline-first: a local copy may remain on your device until you sign out, export, or delete your account.

Sharing

Nest content is visible to members of the same nest (people who join with your invite code). We use infrastructure providers (Google Firebase / Google Cloud) to host and process data as needed to run Nestly. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Your controls

  • Export — Nest → Privacy → Export nest data
  • Delete account — Nest → Privacy → Delete account (removes your account membership; other members keep the nest)
  • Notifications — revoke permission in system settings

Children

Nestly is designed for family households. Accounts should be created by adults. Do not knowingly submit a child’s personal data beyond what your household chooses to store in the nest.
